The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the probe into the murder of 17-year-Serena Vermeersch, who police say was killed in a random attack.
Vermeersch’s body was found in the Surrey works yard Tuesday evening in the 14600-block of 66th Ave.
The teen had been reported missing early Tuesday morning by her mother when she didn’t come home Monday night.
