The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spent Tuesday at a Burnaby high-rise where a man was killed the night before.
IHIT S.Sgt. Jennifer Pound said details of the victim, including his name, would not be released until Wednesday.
Burnaby RCMP received reports of shots fired and a possible home invasion at 10:36 p.m. in the 3900-block of Carrigan Court, near the Lougheed Mall.
The victim was found dead outside the building when first responders arrived.
